In my work as an artist, I strive to always keep learning and growing, both inwardly and outwardly.

Hi, I’m Gianine.

As a Registered Nurse for 25 years, I started learning metalsmithing as a way of dealing with the extreme burnout that is, unfortunately, often coupled with the healthcare industry. I spent a considerable amount of time living and working in developing countries and upon returning to the US, I felt apathetic and detached trying to work in a very broken healthcare system.

Creating and learning became vital to my mental health and soon, people began asking where they could buy the work I was creating.

Eventually, I left nursing to be a full-time artist. I truly love learning new skills and techniques, which is reflected in the evolving styles within my work. I feel empowered when I wear beautiful and unique jewelry. I am a metalsmith because I love being able to give that gift to others, as well.

My Commitment

An important part of my practice is a commitment to use environmentally friendly and ethically sourced materials in my art.

Metals

The majority of the collections are made from Argentium®, Sterling Silver and Precious Metal Clay, which are each made from reclaimed silver and are environmentally friendly.

Gemstones

The gemstones I use are ethically sourced and purchased directly from lapidary artists who hand cut and polish the stones themselves.

Did you know?

Argentium® is a Silver that is more durable than traditional silver, and is also tarnish resistant. It is also less likely to cause an allergic reaction.
